I first met and started working with Jenny at the start of my 2002 Super 12 season.She was a breath of fresh air after 6 years of playing professional rugby and having battled injuries and health issues during that time where antibiotics and traditional western-medical pain relief was issued. Until then, I had also spent the most part of my career obsessing about eating the right types of food – high carb’s; low fat; as well as ingesting my fair share of medicines.
My issues were: Weight: Yes some may laugh as I am a prop and you’d think the more the merrier, alas, no.
Fatigue: I was lacking in energy despite all the so called ‘good food’ I was eating.
Endurance: Training each week in order to play 80 minutes of rugby week-in, week-out for the most part of 48 weeks/year; was leaving me with little reserves.

Recently I went to a power of food seminar and found it so informing and motivating that I wanted to spread the word to the members of our fitness centres throughout South Auckland. The fitness centres run a yearly 10 week challenge and I thought it would be perfect to incorporate this into the challenge along with the services Discover Naturopathy offers.
